You are obviously a highly trained professional with a fine touch, m ay I ask you a question? My rear bumper has, at some time, been pushed in on one side so that it does not have the correct clearance to the sheetmetal and rubs the paint off. Would the best solution to get a big ass hammer and bang it back out from the trunk?
I’ll hang up and listen, thanks.

Oh hey I have a mostly unrelated question! We’re looking at our next cheap car challenge road trip involving crossing into Canada.
In your experience , do you think we’d have trouble doing so in vehicles we’d just bought and without registration in our names? Obviously we’d have a Bill of Sale and signed title, but not sure if that is enough. We’d also have documentation showing we did not intend to end the trip in Canada, nor dispose of the cars in Canada.

All my body stuff is over at Vega’s shop. So fencepost, log, jackstand, jack, etc.

Probably a hassle, I’ve imported cars and USA cares more than Canada about export. as for passing through? I dont’t hae a good answer. took me 2 days to get my corvair road legal and insured.

depends on the bumper, what’s it on?

So I haven’t crossed the border in... 20 years. Do you get questioned by both the US and Canada people when crossing? Or just the country you’re entering?
When you say “a hassle” do you mean “they’ll make you jump through hoops but as long as you’re on the up and up you’ll be fine” or “they’ll make you jump though hoops and then turn you away”?

I saw the sledge, so I added sound effects for an assortment of hammers and lumping objects
. I will say that crowbars are underrated - used one to pull out a spot in the Galaxie.

Wow, actually, that is damn goo work to get it looking that good - kudos!

If exporting you have to have your paperwork square with us govt 72 hours before you cross, so they know you’re coming. if just driving across they don’t care. best to call both border services beforehand and find out what they want for documentation.

that was an hour of fun. I enjoy the twisted metal stuff. It’s been crashed in the same corner sometime in the last 50 years, so I’ll have to fix my crash and the old 60's grade bodywork.

It’s a 71 Camaro, so it looks like this only not as nice

I think that would work but I’m afraid of not being able to apply pressure evenly across the area.

Yeah, we’d just be passing through. (Likely on our way up to Alaska)

pull against curb or a good sidewalk crack for bumper. handy dandy, wish I had one.

Interesting. I’ll have to take a look as with a lot of old cars there are a lot of places that need to be tweaked.

Just entering. And they randomly select people for intensive screening. I’ve had it both ways going into Canada - sometimes, they wave me through with barely a glance at my passport, sometimes they pull me over and take every single item out of the car and go through the whole thing.
